UT Blazer New Guy Project

The UT Blazers raised funds this past fall as part of their New Guy Project to build new vegetable gardens with a watering systems at EMECHS as part of the Keep Eastside and International Beautiful (KEIB) programming.

Field Trip to Texas A&M’s Corpus Christi Campus

Eastside Memorial Early College High School continues to raise high school retention and graduation rates, as well as post-secondary college attendance numbers in Austin ISD; utilizing support from campus resources such as the Early College and the College and Career Center.

Cap Metro Makes Kids Ride Free Permanent

Good news, Eastside community! Cap Metro has decided to make the Kids Ride Free program permanent. Students only need to show their IDs. Read the CBS Austin article here. 

NASA Field Trip

Students from Eastside Memorial Early College High School’s CTE Engineering and Special Education program experienced ‘A Classroom without Walls: A Day in Space’, as they made an innovative visit to Houston’s NASA!  

MackinVia Challenge

Eastside Memorial High School’s Library Club is promoting literacy amongst campus students and staff by increasing access and incentive to pick up a book and read.

STAAR Testing This Week

Students and parents, We wanted to let you know that we will have STAAR retesting this week for students. Below is the schedule we will be following:

AttenDANCE

About 400 students from Eastside and International High Schools qualified for our AttenDANCE on November 16th. Students with 93% or better attendance for the month leading up to the dance were invited to free pizza and a fun dance during the last hour of school.
