E.A.S.T. Time: Engaging Advocating Socializing Transforming
E.A.S.T. Time was developed to encourage student participation in extracurricular activities during the school day. Eastside ECHS students are diverse and sometimes have obligations outside of school that prevents them from participating in after school clubs/activities.
E.A.S.T. Time is strategically scheduled during lunch to offer students an option to join clubs and develop a sense of belonging without having to sacrifice their additional responsibilities. During E.A.S.T. Time students have one hour to eat their lunch and join a club or complete tutorials. Clubs are created based on student interest and are available to all students. While clubs are voluntary, tutorials are mandatory. Students will be scheduled for tutorials by the hosts and are expected to attend. Please use the CLUB LISTING PRESENTATION to view the current club offerings.
