On January 24th, Eastside Memorial Early College High School inducted eighteen students into the National Honor Society (NHS) at EMECHS’s Performing Arts Center.

On January 19th, the Eastside boys varsity soccer team were the champions of the Wimberley Soccer Tournament.

On December 14th, Eastside held our annual campus-wide service learning project supporting our feeder school, the Zavala Mustangs 3rd - 5th grade this year. Through this Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) service project, students recognized that working together and helping others is definitely

The UT Blazers raised funds this past fall as part of their New Guy Project to build new vegetable gardens with a watering systems at EMECHS as part of the Keep Eastside and International Beautiful (KEIB) programming.

Eastside Memorial Early College High School continues to raise high school retention and graduation rates, as well as post-secondary college attendance numbers in Austin ISD; utilizing support from campus resources such as the Early College and the College and Career Center.

Students from Eastside Memorial Early College High School’s CTE Engineering and Special Education program experienced ‘A Classroom without Walls: A Day in Space’, as they made an innovative visit to Houston’s NASA!


Eastside Memorial High School’s Library Club is promoting literacy amongst campus students and staff by increasing access and incentive to pick up a book and read.

We wanted to let you know that we will have STAAR retesting this week for students. Below is the schedule we will be following:

About 400 students from Eastside and International High Schools qualified for our AttenDANCE on November 16th. Students with 93% or better attendance for the month leading up to the dance were invited to free pizza and a fun dance during the last hour of school.
